Hatch Pattern ^

Hatching is used across all design disciplines to enhance drawing views, to clarify design features.

Home tab > Draw panel > Hatch

Hatch patterns including Solid Color

Boundaries

Boundary mean a closed area
Any combination of selected objects, like lines, polyline, circle and arc that create an enclosed area.

There are 2 ways to define the boundary:
Pick Point: Pick an internal point
Determines a hatch boundary from existing objects that form an enclosed area around the specify point.

Select: Select boundary objects
Determines a hatch boundary from single selected object that form an enclosed area

Properties

Angle: Specifies an angle for the hatch pattern relative X axis of the current UCS
Scale: Expands or contracts the hatch pattern

Origin

Use Current Origin
Use the current default hatch origin (0,0)

Boundary Extents (BL/BR/TL/TR/C)
Set the hatch origin of the retabgular extents of the hatch

Set Origin
Shift the hatch pattern to align with specified origin point

Options

Associative
Controls the hatch automatically update when modify the boundaries

Gap Tolerance
Specifies the maximum size of gap for the boundary

Create Separate Hatches
Controls whether a single hatch pattern or multiple hatch objects are created when several closed boundaries are specified

Island Detection
Enclosed areas or text objects inside hatch boundaries are treated as islands

Island Detection only work with Pick Point boundary selection

Draw Order
Shift the hatch pattern infront or behind other hatch objects
Send to Back/ Bring Front/ Send Behind Boundary/ Bring in Front of Boundary
